Mascotopia was started by two high school friends, Alex Babbidge and Chris Brigham. Alex and Chris enjoy telling the story of how one great idea led to a successful business venture and a whole lot of fun.
The concept for Mascotopia's flagship product, the Mascot Mobile, was born one night as Alex was putting his children to bed. Alex was singing college songs to his son, while a traditional musical mobile played over his daughter's crib in the next room. It seemed like a natural fit to create a musical mobile that would feature plush college mascots circulating over the crib while playing the school's fight song rather than a traditional lullaby.
As the parents of three young children each, they have focused on making traditional developmental toys into something new and exciting for young learners. All of Mascotopia's products seek to create a fun and exciting way for parents, grandparents, and friends to interact with the young children in their lives and to share their love for their favorite school or team.
